Wilco 9-12ers and Tea Party Learn About Basic Preparedness

About 45 folks gathered at Independent Bank in Georgetown on December 3rd, to learn about basic preparedness!  We discussed “Why Prepare?” and provided a booklet that we hope will inspire all who attended to set basic goals around water, food, shelter, and community preparedness.

During the last two years the Central Texas 9-12 Project has inspired members to also seek additional training to assist during emergencies such as CPR, First Aid, CERT, ARES and basic ham radio.  The tornado in Missouri and the fires right here in our neighborhoods this summer really helped many of us understand why this basic preparedness is so important.

THANK YOU GEORGETOWN/ROUND ROCK 9-12ERS and the WILCO Tea Party members for raising $280 as well!  This money will help us ensure that we have enough funds to maintain our website and email system.  Thank you so much!
