Spicewood, Texas Fire Response

Hello 9-12ers, Here are pictures from our delivery to the Spicewood Fire last Friday. Thank you donors! We delivered over $500 of new pillows, blankets, bedding, non-perishable food, pet food, and every toiletry that you can think of. The pictures actually don’t do our delivery justice. We were able to gather so many things, that once our last donor arrived we had to unpack and repack my car. I forgot to take one last picture.

Eighty homes were destroyed in Spicewood. One of the volunteer firefighters lost his own home while he was away fighting the fire in another location.

If you are near Georgetown, Texas, you can deliver unneeded nice/sturdy furniture to the old Albertson’s grocery store at 610 N. Austin Avenue. They are also taking non-perishable food, new underwear and socks, and toiletries. They are open M-S 9am to 6pm.

Thank you everyone!
