How Do You Use Your Food Storage?

The Central Texas 9-12 Project is gathering your recipes for a cookbook!

Many of you have been setting aside extra groceries for food storage pantries.  Since many of us feed our families fresh food from the grocery store, we do not have many recipes that use items that you might be storing such as canned vegetables, powdered eggs, powdered/canned milk, canned meat, freeze dried fruits and vegetables, or wheat berries for example.

If we collect enough recipes we will publish a cookbook as a fundraiser.  So, if you have recipes that you would be willing to share please send them to debbie-brown@austin.rr.com.  We are looking for appetizers, desserts, dishes that use canned meat/poultry, wheat berry recipes, and breads.  We would also like to include a section for your favorite water bath and pressure canning recipes – preserved foods from your garden.  Please consider sharing your mom’s and grandma’s recipes as well!  Thank you everyone!
